METHODOLOGY - Tools
Sigmund Freud(*) was an Austrian neurologist born, in what is now the Czech Republic, in 1856. Many people, today, know of him primarily from his theories that people act, at least in part, due to "unconscious" desires and that, of these, sexual desire was the most motivating factor in human life. While the accuracy or fallacy of Freud's theories, or of modern Psychology, is not the real topic of discussion here, there is abundant, anecdotal [stories, examples] evidence that we all do respond to influences without really thinking about what triggered our response.
At one time or another, most of us have found ourselves happy, scared, comfortable, etc. for no apparent reason. How many times have you acted, or reacted, to something and, later, wondered "why did I do/say that?"? What the actual process might be, I don't claim to know. I'll leave to the PSYCHOlogists. My only point is that, for whatever reason, we all, to some degree, DO react "without thinking about it".
Freud had a nephew, named Edward Bernays(*) who became intrigued by the theories of Freud, Pavlov (you remember - the guy who conditioned dogs to drool when they heard a bell ring) and others of his time. Bernays began to experiment with using these theories to manipulate people. Bernays believed that, in a democracy, people were not competent to make their own decisions and that it was necessary for those [elite few], who were "competent", to make those decisions for them. In his 1928 book Propaganda he states his opinions quite clearly:
"If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, is it not possible to control and
regiment the masses according to our will without their knowing about it? The recent practice of
propaganda has proved that it is possible, at least up to a certain point and within certain limits."
He elaborates further, saying:
"If we understand the mechanism and motives of the group mind, it is now possible to control
and regiment the masses according, to our will, without them knowing it."[emphasis added]
Bernays' books were heavily utilized by Adolf Hitler’s Nazi propaganda minister, Joseph Goebbels. They are the "bibles" of Advertising and the MAIN STREAM "MEDIA" today! The following video is from the film series "The Century of the Self" by Adam Curtis.

With the collapse of the USSR many Americans assumed that the "cold war" had been "won". Nothing could have been further from the truth. The goal of communism has always been world domination and they had been making substantial, progress in many areas of the world - including the United States where what was once an American Political Party has gone over to Socialism.
The same thing is happening again today, with one major difference - foreign agents are vastly outnumbered by traitors from within our nation. Norman Thomas, past presidential candidate for the American Socialist Party is reputed to have made two statements:
1) "The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of “liberalism,” they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened." 2) "I no longer need to run as a Presidential Candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democratic Party has adopted our platform.”
Whether or not Thomas ever made those statements is irrelevant. The actions of the Axis of Evil prove that the above statements were absolutely consistent with what is happening to our nation today!
The AOE has only one "plank" in their political "platform" - absolute power and control. Any speech opposing them is "hate speech". Anyone disagreeing with them is a "Nazi", "fascist", "racist", "thisaphobe", "thataphobe" and any, emotion-loaded, term they can dredge up. Everyone is so afraid of being "labeled" that "political correctness" is destroying all freedom of speech or action!
As painful, and difficult, as it is for most Americans to understand, those individuals comprising the Axis Of Evil have adopted the KGB's original "Active Measures" for their own path to power and/or are victims of "ideological subversion". They have turned their backs on the nation and the Spirit of America that Americans still love, cherish and defend and have become...Americans In Name Only - AINOs
