METHODOLOGY - Active Measures
For over two centuries this nation has peacefully transitioned governmental power through the process of elections. Today the "collective left", an AXIS OF EVIL, is attempting a "coup" through government corruption, lies, intimidation and violence. The Democrats, and the left, have rejected our form of government and chosen CIVIL WAR! How is this possible? The answer lies in our recent history.
Since the end of World War II there have been many periods where the United States has been involved in some type of "war" or "police action". All of these actions took place in foreign lands, from Korea to Baghdad. During most of those decades, however, if you asked the average American if they considered America to be in a "state" of "war" or "peace" most would have replied "peace". In this they would have been wrong!
While it is difficult to point at an exact "start", for at least two to three generations(D) "the United States [has been] in a state of war! An undeclared and total war against the basic principles and Foundations of this [American] system". The natural response to this assertion could be "who", "how", "I don't see any evidence". The reason is simple but, until recently, one not overly familiar to many in America who have not had an occasion to "study war".
If you remember back to the Preface of Home of the Eagle I quoted two warriors:
"War is simply the continuation of politics by other means." Carl Von Clausewitz, On War(*)
"All warfare is based primarily on deception of an enemy. Fighting on a battlefield is the most primitive way of making war. There is no art higher than to destroy your enemy without a fight by subverting anything of value in your enemy's country." Sun Tzu, c. 500 B.C, The Art of War.(*)
Post WW II, during the "cold war", America and the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (USSR) were the preeminent opposing powers. The primary security and intelligence agency in the Soviet Union was the "KGB" - short for Komitet Gosudarstvennoy Bezopasnosti - or the Committee of State Security. Following WWII, and continuously up to the present day, Soviet and Russian security/intelligence services, such as the KGB and its successor the FSB, have been heavily involved in "political warfare" throughout the world.
Drawing on Sun Tzu and The Art of War the KGB developed what they referred to as "Active Measures" or "Ideological Subversion". Over thirty years ago a member of the KGB, Yuri Bezmenov, defected to the west. Mr. Bezmenov was a Soviet journalist (read "propagandist") for RIA Novosti "Political Publications" department, a front for the propaganda arm of the KGB.
During the 1980s Mr. Bezmenov spoke and presented lectures in the United States in an attempt to alert Americans to the danger of subversion from the KGB. While events since then make it fairly clear that many in America did not heed his warnings a particular group of so-called "Americans" paid close attention to what he had to say. The following video is a short excerpt from an interview of Mr. Bezmenov in 1985:
